Magic Rainbows Team
Who are we?
The Magic Rainbows are a team of swimmers that represent Rainbow Clubs at the Murray Rose Malabar Magic Ocean Swim every year and raise funds for their local club. Each club is asked to nominate at least one swimmer who can swim 1k in the beautiful waters off Malabar Beach on Sunday morning, 21 February 2021.
The Club representative can be a past or present Rainbow Club member with a disability , a family member or a Rainbow Club Teacher. Rainbow Club members may wish to have a companion swimmer with them and we will facilitate them as though they are part of the Magic Rainbows Team.
The 2021 event will be live on Malabar Beach and all COVID safe practices as directed by the NSW Dept of Health will be implemented in every detail.
Team Information
- As a Magic Rainbow team member, you must be 10 years or older and must have trained for an ocean swim. You can choose your distance from the options available (1k, 2.5k or 5k)
- You can be a past or present Rainbow Club member, a Rainbow Club family member or a Rainbow Club Teacher.
- You will travel in style and free of charge in a 13CABS taxi. A friendly 13Cab driver will collect you from your home, bring you to Malabar and bring you home again after you have completed your swim.
- Swimmers with a disability may wish to have a companion swimmer with them and we will facilitate companions as though they are part of the Magic Rainbows Team.
- You get FREE entry as the Registration Fee is waived for all Magic Rainbows. We will provide you with the promo code when you are ready to enter.
- You will get a high quality, must have FREE Swim Rashie saying “I swam the Malabar Magic” to show off among your swimming peers.
- You will get an individual fundraising page to share with your family, friends and clubs members and any money raised through this page can be used in your club for social events next year.
